About This Tour Extension
Embark on a fascinating cruise visiting some of the most important archaeological sites in Luxor and Aswan visiting historic cities along the Nile River. This tour extension is offered as a pre-tour for our ‘Into the Promised Land’ tour. Depart the U.S. on Wednesday, arrive Cairo on Thursday, connect with our “Into the Promised Land” tour on Monday evening. This extension is offered as a pre-tour extension to the From Pharoah to Promise: A Biblical Tour of Egypt & Jordan. Click here to book.
This tour is $1245 per passenger in a double room/cabin. Passengers traveling alone will pay an additional single supplement of $495.
*When adding this cruise extension to the From Pharoah to Promise Tour, you will take the Memphis Sakkara day tour prior to the cruise instead of on the first day of the From Pharoah to Promise tour

- Our journey begins today as we depart LAX International Airport on our way to Cairo Egypt, home of the Great Sphinx of Giza and Pyramids. Sit back relax and enjoy your flight. Get some rest…tomorrow you will be walking through Bible history!

Arrival in Cairo Egypt

- Today we arrive in Cairo Egypt. We will meet our tour escort and transfer to our hotel. We check in and have dinner at the hotel.

Day 3
Day 3 - Thursday
Memphis and Sakkara
MEMPHIS AND SAKKARA
- After breakfast, we will meet your Egyptologist tour guide and start our Ancient Egypt exploration. We will depart in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle toward ancient Memphis, located south of Cairo.
- Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt’s Old Kingdom was founded around 3100 B.C. Visit the open-air museum featuring the colossal statue of Ramesses II, lying on its back in impressive preservation and the Alabaster Sphinx, smaller but beautifully crafted.
- A short drive through the countryside will bring us to the vast necropolis of Sakkara. Here we will explore the Step Pyramid of Zoser. This pyramid was built around 2686 B.C for Pharaoh Djoser and it is the oldest pyramid in the world. It is also considered the earliest large-scale stone structure in history.
- We will return to our hotel for dinner.

Day 4 - Friday
Embark on Cruise
- After breakfast transfer to the Cairo airport and fly to Aswan. You can store your luggage at the Cairo hotel storage rooms before departing to Aswan for your 3 nights Nile Cruise.
- You will be met at the Aswan Airport and transfer to the cruise
